Welcome to my portfolio! This is an image gallery of works that I've made up until now. These ones are sorted by medium, and by order of completion within their respective groups.
Internal Suspicions. Oil on wood.. 4x4in. 29 Oct 2024. Aiden Mcklmon. International. Lakefield, Canada.
Two detailed oil paintings of my right eye. It's like staring into a mirror! Kind of uncanny.
This painting is directly based on my little sister. To add additional depth and meaning to my painting, I titled it "Équinoxe," which translates to a transition into spring. This title was inspired by the peony she is holding, symbolising the renewal and blossoming of nature during the transition from winter to spring.
Équinoxe. Acrylic Painting on Canvas. 8x11in. 06 Mar, 2023. Aiden Mcklmon. International. Lakefield, Canada.
Paint Blob. Colour-Pencil Drawing. 8x11in. 14 Apr, 2022. Aiden Mcklmon. International. Lakefield, Canada.
Huh? Oh, that's simple. The guy on the right is me! I wanted to be in a very memorable pose, just so the drawing would turn out greater. The only thing I would change about it is the colour of my sweater. Shading with 8B pencils... is not fun.
The idea is to completely replicatre a photo here in black and white. It's not supposed to be touched up, changed, or edited. it's just supposed to be you, as you are. It was a nice project that really helps with attention-to-detail.
At first, the concept I was going for only involved the pencil drawing, but I felt like the back was... missing something that gives my art its signature style. The back shows a kaleidoscope of doodles that reflect my experiences and hobbies.
